And a brand new video by Ed Jones of part of my song "Potential Criminal" is on youtube!

Hello Music Angels!

New pictures are in the Gallery from our last show July 11th @ 133 Beale Street, benefiting Musicians For Peace. The venue had a green tarp ceiling and we all look...greenish!

Friday July 2nd 2010 was a day I know I will never forget. My dear friend Bobby Sharp (Unchain My Heart) and I went to the wonderful Fantasy Studios in Berkeley where he recorded the piano track for a song he wrote in 1947 and gave me to release. Soon I will return to Fantasy and add the vocals. Being at Fantasy and singing a rough vocal while listening to Bobby playing the 9 foot concert grand was a very special treat. Plus the song is gorgeous. More on it later. You can see pictures of that day in the Gallery.

I'm back from Kauai'i, which was overwhelmingly beautiful and looked like a combination of places I've traveled to. Working hard to hold on to Hauai'ian time!

This week when you sign on my mailing list at top of page you get a free download of "Goodnight Baby". If you're already on the list type in your e-mail address, it will recognize you and you'll also get the free download.

I hope your year is going well. Michael Shiplet and I are currently woodshedding.

My last solo appearance was hosted by Harold Adler May 23rd in Berkeley: at a Benefit for Chile, along with a lot of musicians,  very well attended and great fun, pix by Victor Owens, Kris Mikkelson and Barry Lefsky are in the gallery. We raised a lot of money!

Thanks for visiting my webgarden.Your comments are welcome always. Check out the blog too!

RIP Johnny Downer 12/4/09, was in the North Marin band Free Peoples, played 12 string on my last CD. I  was impressed with his talent and how genuinely nice he was. My heart goes out to his family and close friends. To hear the song where he played 12 string and sang back-ups click on the Listen page and find "Come And Stay With Me" . RIP with the Angels Johnny.

Also working on a new recording which should be done in 2010! The artwork by San Francisco artist Wendy Wright - wendy-wright.com - is very exciting!
